Nikki's adventure in sewing kicked off in 2020, during the pandemic that sparked creativity in so many. With the world on pause, she jumped at the chance to enroll in an online sewing course and hasn’t looked back since. She absolutely fell in love with crafting her own clothing! Sharing her creations on Instagram
(@sonikkisews) led her to an amazing community of fellow sewing enthusiasts, and with her mother’s legacy as a seamstress, Nikki feels like this passion is woven right into her DNA!
After facing a great deal of grief over the past couple of years, Nikki sought a creative outlet to heal and find peace. She began making bags as Christmas gifts, witnessing the joy they brought to others. This inspired her to slowly create Curvy Girl Collective.
